After completing the course, the students will be able to identify the legal issues that are common in business law scenarios and analyze and discuss the responsibilities and legal rights of the stakeholders. Furthermore, they will be able to articulate and discuss the legal rights, responsibilities, and duties of the parties accurately in the context of business. Moreover, the application accurately references and researching the law that is appropriate from case law and statutes about the specified context. The students will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the law about the issues of the contract by analyzing the issue and applying the legal principles that are relevant for advising on the legal outcomes that are possible. Lastly, the students will be able to articulate the interpretation of the business law issues individually and apply the knowledge that is relevant to others. The assessment consists of an online quiz in week 4 that will comprise of 5 marks. Next, there will be an assignment of 2000 to 2500 words in week 8 and it will be worth 25 marks. The participation and attendance in tutorials will be worth 10 marks, and an open book examination will be worth 60 marks, and the time duration for this will be 3 hours. The topic of the assignment will be available to the students in the first week of the semester and it must be submitted to the tutors before the date that is specified in the instructions, which is usually week 8 of the semester. Preparing for the exam is a major task, and it is recommended that the students research the exam in the early semester.
